Activities of literary society during the session 2019 - 2020.

 1. Office bearers were selected  in the month of August, 2019.

2. Movie "Kanthapura" was shown to the students of B.A.3rd year on 9 September 2019.

3. Celebrating "Hindi Diwas" on 14 September 2019 by organizing a poetry and speech competition.

4. Poetry competition was held on 4 October 2019.

5. A short movie was shown to the students of the college on "Matribhasa Diwas" (20 feb.2020) by the literary society of the college.

6. Extension lecture delivered on the occasion of Mas Reading Program on 28 February 2020.

7. Online poem and essay writing competition held on 1 May 2020.

8. An international webinar organized by the literary society of the college on 20 June 2020.

 Department of Geography Activities organized during the Session 2019-2020

1.      Office Bearers were selected in the month of August, 2019

2.      Celebrated ‘Ozone Depletion Day’ on 16, September, 2019

3.      PowerPoint Presentation by Students  on 7, October, 2019

4.      Poster Making Competition on Environment organized by Department on 13, January, 2020

5.      Intra-Department Quiz Competition organized by department on 20, February, 2020

6.      Students from the Department of Geography, Govt College, Barwala participated in Intra-State College Geographical Quiz Contest at Saheed Udham Singh College, Matak Majri, Indri (Karnal) on dated 02.03.2020.

7.      An extension lecture and talks were organized on 04.03.2020 on Remote Sensing, GIS (Geographical Information System) and Quantitative methods by the department of geography. A well-versed Mr. Rahul Ratnam (GIS, Project Manager, New Delhi) interacted with the students and delivered thought proving ideas to the students.

8.      A report was prepared on COVID-19 by the students of Geography (B.A III, VI Semester, title was "Application of GIS in CORONA-COVID 19" on dated 14 April, 2020.

9.      E- Quiz competition of Geography organized by department of geography for the students of B. A I (II Sem), B. A II ( IV Sem), B. A III ( VI Sem) on 2 May, 2020.

NSS Department

Various NSS Activities were organised during the Session 2019-2020. The detailed list of these activities are as mentioned below-

JULY

1.      Enrolment of NSS volunteers were done for the session 2019-2020.

2.      ‘Tree plantation drive’ was organised in collaboration with EVS committee on 17.07.19

AUGUST

1.“Swachhta Pakhwada” organised from 1^st to 15^th August 2019 for cleanliness of campus and surrounding area, people were awarded through Rally.

 FEBRUARY

 1.An awareness program on ‘Road safety & organ donation ‘was organised in association with Red cross, Panchkula and Transport Office, Panchkula-18.02.2020

2.NSS volunteers created awareness in college about preventive measure regarding corona virus on 19/02/2020.

3.10 Days ‘Sharam Daan’ activity organised, NSS volunteers actively participated and cleaned college lawns and sports ground 20^th Feb-03^rd Mar, 2020.

4.One Day NSS camp was organised under ‘Swachhta Abhiyan’ on 27/02/2020

5.NSS volunteers attended programme on Drug De –addiction by state legal services authority (SLSA) organised by Legal Literacy cell on 27/02/2020.The chief guest on this occasion. Advocate Pawan Kumar created awareness regarding Fundamental Rights, Directive Principles and Fundamental Duties

6.Nss volunteers attended Mass reading Programme on 29 /2/2020 in college to promote reading habits among students.

MARCH

1.A documentary based on the activities of ten days Shramdaan by NSS volunteers to maintain sports grounds lawn etc. was screened in geography Lab on 3/03/2020.

2.Attended Declamation Contest, district Level on “cooperative societies (Saahkarita) Mere sapno ka bharat” with NSS volunteers conducted by Govt. College sector 1 Panchkula and Disha verma B.sc secured 2^nd position in this contest held on 06/03/2020.

3. NSS volunteers created awareness on Janta Curfew on 22 /03/2020 through Facebook page WhatsApp etc. against COVID 19

APRIL

1.Calls were made to people by NSS volunteers and NSS PO under project of COVIDVEER ,VEER – Value the Essentials for Emergency Relief )by DHE, Panchkula dated 05/04/2020

2.NSS volunteers attended the live programme of Hon’ble chief Minister of Haryana Sh. Manohar Lal Khattar regarding Status of Higher Education and Digital Learning and Exam Etc on 18/04/2020.

MAY

1.Engagement of NSS volunteers to collect information regarding Migrants staying in Haryana during COVID- 19 lockdown, under DHE letter on ,20/05/2020.

2.NSS volunteers took pledge on Anti-Terrorism Day on 21/05/2020

JUNE

1.NSS volunteers registered themselves on the MIS portal RAKT Sanchar Helpline launched by DHE Panchkula,08/06/2020 in order to provide blood in emergency.

2.NSS volunteers participated in National Level Online Quiz on “Aatma Nirbhar Bharat” organised by NSS and Red cross society of Govt. PG college, sec 14, Panchkula held from 07/06/2020 to 11/06/2020

3.Celebrated International Yoga Day and NSS volunteers attended live Yoga session on 21/06/2020 @ Facebook page of DHE, PKl4

4.NSS volunteers provide Masks and downloaded Aarogya SETU APP and created awareness regarding preventive measure to COVID 19 Amid Lockdown.

5.NSS volunteers attended IGOT integrated govt online training course on DIKSHA in order to train NSS volunteers to help against the fight of COVID -19

6. NSS volunteers and NSS PO made call to migrants people during Lockdown and confirmed whether they have reached their hometown or not.
