I welcome you on behalf of Government College, Barwala. I feel a profound sense of responsibility for maintaining the expectations and trust of the students in this college.
It is a great honour to be asked to lead Government College, Barwala, a rural institution, growing, but already ahead in addressing how rural area colleges must adapt to provide the students of today with the education that will best prepare them for the challenges of tomorrow.
GCB gives me hope for a future in which real, deep, respectful dialogue will eventually alter the way we think, work, and relate to one another. I look forward to furthering the best traditions of the College, building on its innovations, engaging with students, staff, faculty.
At GCB, we try to nurture students with adequate emphasis on all the three aspects of integrated education e.g. physical, intellectual and value education. GCB also enjoys the reputation of being a friend of the less privileged sections.
Government College, Barwala is equipped with state-of-the-art lecture rooms, computer laboratory, enriched library and sports playground. Besides infrastructure, college is valued for its academic rigour, in particular the delivery of student centric and career oriented content. We promote continuous engagement between college and society to produce graduates prized by the society.
GCB fraternity has successfully conducted themselves over the years for achieving excellence. The faculty members continue to discharge their duties with dedication, commitment, passion and courage. Non-faculty members of the college fraternity with different but complementary services are valued colleagues. In the years ahead, GCB will strive to be the number one college in the region. As they say, “believe you can and you are halfway there….” And the journey has already started!
