Self Defense workshop

On 05/02/2024, the Government College Barwala, Panchkula, inaugurated a thirty hours self-defense training workshop, "Savrakhsha Sanani" to be organised by Women Cell and one day incubation centre workshop organised by incubation centre of the college under the esteemed guidance of Principal Dr. Hemant Verma in the college auditorium. The esteemed Guests were Mrs. Indira Sharma, Dr. Minakshi Singh, and Mrs. Anjali Siwach, Deputy Directors, Director Higher Education, Panchkula. The primary objective of the workshop was to motivate and empower female students. A total of 64 students actively participated in the comprehensive training sessions. The Women Cell took the initiative to bring in expertise, calling the Head Instructor from Shastrang Indian Modern Martial Art Academy to impart specialized self-defense techniques. The event witnessed the presence of key figures, including Dr. Harvandana, Dr. Nisha, Dr. Partap, Ms Aman, Dr. Kalpana Hooda (Convener), Dr. Sandhya, Dr. Seema, and other members of the Women Cell. This initiative not only equips female students with essential self-defense skills but also fosters a sense of confidence and security within the college community.
